    A leading industrial filtration manufacturer is seeking a Material Handler to assist in the picking and loading of material, according to company policies and procedures. The Material Handler will pick, carry, lift, push, pull, palletize and manually shrink wrap items from their respective origins to their destination. This is a full-time opportunity, with a benefits package offered after 30 days of employment!

    Responsibilities

    • Use of computer equipment to sign orders out and produce labels for shipping.
    • Load and unload trucks and/or other containers possibly using a variety of material handling equipment.
    • Move material within a warehouse or storage facility to and from the loading platform using a forklift truck or other handling equipment.
    • Manually stretch wrapping product picked for shipping from the pallet to the top of the skid.
    • Insure that proper items in the proper quantities are being picked and packaged meeting our customer’s expectations.
    • Maintain a safe and orderly work area – 6S implementations and sustainability
    • Perform duties safely wearing assigned personal protective equipment. Immediately report observed safety hazards to the supervisor.
    • Repetitive motions including: walking, standing for long periods of time, wrapping above the head, wrapping below the knees, climbing up and down stairs, bending, squatting, twisting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and unassisted lifting of up to 50 lbs.
    • May train others.
    • Adherence to company stated policies and procedures.
    • Be punctual and at work daily.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Able to speak, read and write in English.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Math aptitude at the high school level.
    • Shipping/receiving experience preferred.
    • Computer literate with an understanding of QAD helpful.
    • Knowledge of company products and procedures.
    • Customer focused with a strong attention to detail.
    • Able to work overtime on short notice.
    • Able to work at heights not above 30 feet without issues.
    • Able to reach, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull.
    • Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
