    PecoFacet, a global coalescing, filtration and separation products and services company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop evaluation, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. This person will be required to provide support to R&D department along with information, knowledge and support to domestic, international and inter-company sales, production, purchasing and quality control as well as provide required support to suppliers, fabricators and customers. You will also coordinate with the shop during fabrication to resolve any issues and maintain schedule. 

    Responsibilities

    The duties include the following:

    • Developing, evaluating, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes.
    • Improve manufacturing efficiency and utilization. Determines labor standards and identifies improvement opportunities including automation and lean concepts
    • Utilizing QFC 7.2-4 (Lifecycle Management Process), provide support for pre-production by establishing new processes and/or equipment as well as assisting with the building and testing of product.
    • Provide support for production during first runs and obtain samples for first article testing and evaluation as necessary.
    • Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environment.
    • Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
    • Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effectual production methods.
    • Working closely with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
    • Designing and developing manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products, and related fixtures and tooling that are consistent with zero defect level and low product cost.
    • Providing engineering support in production department to trouble shoot and resolve technical problems.
    • Supporting company policies and procedures, goals and objectives.
    • Implement cost reduction strategies.
    • Support element operations as directed.
    • Interpret specifications, drawings, job orders and documentation to complete duties.
    • Recommend methods and measures to improve equipment performance and quality of product.
    • Provide technical support to Customer Service, outside customers, quality control and production.
    • Analyze and resolve problems.

    The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:

     

     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • 4 year engineering degree – preferably with a BS in Mechanical Engineering or 15+ years related experience.
    • Lean/Six Sigma experience
    • Basic PC skills
    • Strong Excel, Powerpoint skills
    • Auto cad or similar - production layout.
