  • Overview

    A leading industrial filtration supplier, in the Tulsa area, is actively seeking a Warehouse Specialist. This person will be responsible for the flow of goods and supplies used in production. Specialists are responsible for recording information for materials received and shipped, including tracking, packing specifications, weights and dimensions.  Other responsibilities include, ensuring timely receipts of goods into an MRP system, and orders are shipped on time in accordance to the customers’ expectations. Accurate and organized recordkeeping skills are needed. Identify and segregate defective or damaged materials and or equipment. Must be capable of operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts and other equipment as needed. This position is also responsible for assisting in the cycle count process, including counting, recounting, and reconciliation needs.


    • Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Prepares items for shipment or receipt, which includes, but is not limited to, comparing identifying information and counts, and weighing/measuring items of outgoing shipments in order to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and/or other records.
    • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures.
    • Affixes shipping labels and packing slips on packed boxes or pallets.
    • Posts shipments including weights, dims and shipping charges and completes shipment into MRP system.
    • Post receipts of materials into MRP system.
    • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
    • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
    • Uses forklift and pallet jack for loading and unloading of trucks and pulling material from warehouse.
    • Perform cycle counting and inventory control processes as needed.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, ERP/SAP, UPS, FEDEX and other shipping software.
    • Ability/availability to work overtime as needed.


    • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
    • A minimum of 12 months Shipping, Receiving, and/or Warehouse experience strongly preferred.
    • International shipping experience a plus.
    • Valid Driver License and the willingness and ability to be forklift certified.
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Team player with ability to effectively develop and maintain cross-function working relationships
    • Must be customer-focused and able to effectively adapt to rapidly changing demands and priorities.
    • Detailed-oriented with solid time management skills.
    • Must have a good work ethic, maintain high attendance record and show respect for others.


    Candidates must be willing and able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

    • Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
    • Walking constantly, primarily on a level surface.
    • Reaching overhead, from waist to shoulder or from floor to shoulder frequently through the shift.
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or over the shoulder in order to file documents or move/store/pull material and/or shipments.
    • Twisting, bending, stopping, kneeling, and or squatting as needed.
