    A leading HVAC filter manufcturer is seeking a Bond Operator to support overall production operations. 

    Responsibilities

    • Quality Duties
      • Under minimum supervision, perform a variety of tasks, which require a thorough knowledge of inspection techniques, materials, gauges, tools and equipment.
      • Work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals or prototypes to assure conformance to establish quality specifications.
      • Inspect components and parts to extremely close tolerances, which may have unusual or non-standard shapes.
      • Devise and utilize non-standard inspection procedures.
      • Inspect parts, products and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards.
      • Verify specified dimensions on product or material using inspection equipment.
      • Responsible to train and teach other inspectors and machine operators on quality procedures
    • Production line start up
      • Check product specification to determine proper resin mix.
      • Always check inventory for leftover mixed bond before mixing new bond.
      • Mix bond in accordance with product specification.
    • Be sure that the bond is thoroughly blended.
      • Be sure to mix bond in the proper sequence.
      • Cover bond drums with filter media to filter trash while filling.
      • Reuse/Recycle resin.
    • Product line changeover
      • Determine amount of bond needed for present run.
      • Mix additional bond if needed.
      • Check specification to determine bond mix for upcoming product.
      • Always mix bond in accordance with specification.
      • Reuse/recycle resin.
    • Housekeeping
      • Clean spills immediately.
      • Clean hands before operating controls.
      • Maintain cleanliness in all spray station areas.
      • Clean Nordson pump housing of external grime.
      • Keep valves, pipes, and housings clean.
      • Keep all wall-mounted gauges and walls clean.
      • Keep spare and empty drums to a minimum.
      • Keep all bond room tools clean.
      • Maintain all housekeeping equipment.
      • Perform other cleaning as directed by the group leaders.
    • Downtime and end of shift
      • Assess situation with group lead.
      • Assist with resin-related occurrences.
      • Clean fans, walls, grates and floors.
      • Clean tools in pit rooms.
      • Clean pit rooms.
      • Always have bond room ready and mixed for next shift.
    • Required reporting
      • Complete bond usage report and submit to group leaders.
      • Maintain adequate dye and additive inventory.
      • Request holding tank service when full.

    Qualifications:

    • Able to communicate and understand written and spoken English.
    • High school diploma or equivalent desired.
    • Computer Experience with Excel Spreadsheets
    • Previous exposure to Quality Control procedures is preferred
    • Good Analytical Skills
    • Ability to calculate ratios/percentages
    • 2 years Manufacturing/Industrial experience desired
    • Able to work overtime on short notice, as needed.
    • Able to perform tasks safely while wearing required personal protective equipment.
    • May require standing for long periods of time.
    • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
    • Able to punctually report to work daily or as scheduled.
    • Able to follow company rules and regulations noted in the Employee Manual and as required for the position.
